Multimedia Content Creation
This video was created as part of an in-depth analysis of homelessness in Seattle, which was a topic that I chose as the theme for all of the deliverables in this course. As a media professional of 15 years, this type of video is something I have created for broadcast news hundreds of times. This time, however, I used unconventional equipment to shoot this segment. I utilized an Olympus E5 digital SLR camera to record all of the video and audio for this segment, instead of a traditional video camera. I also edited the piece using Adobe Premiere Pro, a program that I haven’t used for editing before. Since I have used Final Cut Pro 7 and X professionally, this project allowed me to learn how to effectively use both unfamiliar equipment and editing programs.
